"The Chalice"
"The Chalice"
20×20" oils + mixed media on gallery wrapped canvas
She who is an invocation of the elemental forces—water, fire, air, witnessed in a moment of surrender and transformation. Radiant and grounded, she is dissolving into the great flow of existence.
Her hair and surroundings are oceanic currents of emotional depth, intuition — and the vast unconscious, the shadow realms that hold gifts and mystery if courageously traversed.
Fire on the water speaks to an alchemical process — a tempering of passion with wisdom. She is unafraid of boiling water, and utilizes her full range of emotion with grace.
The butterflies carry metamorphosis, and unadulterated innocence — they are spirit on the wind.
The flowers root her in earth’s abundance, making her a bridge between the celestial and terrestrial.
Her golden laurel crown proclaims her victory, divine favor, liberation and the awakening of higher consciousness.
A sacred moment of rebirth and paradox — of stepping fully into one’s authentic being — while also surrendering to the holy, the wholeness beyond being an individual mired in the illusion of being separate from All That Is. She is wholly herself, and wholly surrendered.
The chalice reserved for only the sweetest nectar.
